When we were asked to put the balls into different categories, I put them into categories of big medium and small. As we learned in claJuss however, the lines drawn for categories can get pretty fuzzy, especially when you add more subjects. If more balls had been added, maybe some of the "big" ones would have ended up being "medium".
Just liek the balls, race lines can be very fuzzy. In America we have different classifications, but sometimes we can be wrong. When we did the activity of placing the pictures of people into races, we were wrong about a lot of them.
It is natural for us to categorize things, but there comes a point where it is not acceptable. When we catergorize people without knowing the full background, we can be making judgements that are not true or offensive.
